About BMPI

A little over six years ago, a small group of actors was looking for a venue to present off-beat, unique types of theatre experiences. They decided to form a new company in Lawton, Oklahoma to offer additional theatre opportunities, genres not currently performed in the area. Thus, Blue Moon Productions, Inc. was born.

Named from phrase "once in a blue moon," the company hoped to embody just what that phrase meant; a rare and special event. Our main objective is to compliment the other wonderful arts and entertainment companies in the local communities, and to enhance the arts in Southwest Oklahoma.

Blue Moon Productions excels in presenting cutting-edge plays and one act programs, the kind of which you might see in larger cities such as Boston, Chicago, and Dallas. These productions sometimes contain mature themes and/or language, and are intended for our adult audiences. Our signature Big Broadcast Radio Shows however, are a great night of fun for the entire family.

Blue Moon Productions, Inc. is a non-profit organization and depends entirely on a very small staff of dedicated volunteers to run the entire operation. All income is achieved through ticket sales, fund-raising events, sponsors, and advertising sales. We currently do not receive any grants or have membership drives.
